Argumentative Situation Lately:

One situation I have been in recently where taking a position was an exchanged texting conversation with  my friend. She is buying a dog but doesn't want to get a lot of different breeds because they are too aggressive and mean. I asked her what she was referring to and she said pit bulls. "Because they are viscous animals." I disagreed explaining that any dog can be nice or mean, depending on how they were trained and treated by their owners. Some back in forth argument later, she stated that they are all aggressive dogs, its just in their nature. Once again I disagreed. But I do agree that pit bulls are given a bad reputation, but that doesn't always mean it is true. She really believed that it was fair and accurate to judge these dogs as an entire breed based on what some people think about them. We both explained our positions and why we think what we do, and still did not come to an agreement.

My position is that pit bulls are not mean dogs they are just misunderstood. Her position was that dogs like pit bulls are mean animals. Both of these positions were explained through out and stated in different ways, but is still explicitly said in the story.

People everywhere have this theory and believe that pit bulls are bad. There is two very different arguments to this situation. The two sides are usually relatively close to the ones I used in my story.
